A Bar/Bat Mitzvah is a memory to cherish forever. This special day can never be duplicated. The accomplishment and honor of reading from Torah, before family and friends, is filled with emotion and excitement.
The Party
So often, so much attention is paid to the selection of a caterer, finding the appropriate entertainment, picking a theme and decorating the room; and in a few hours, all those things are gone. You will remember less than 25% of what happened. And, as the host, you'll likely not participate in much of the happenings. You'll be busy talking with your guests ... as it should be.
The Memories
How would you like your memories of this event preserved? Photos are a nice freeze frame of various moments of the day; but video is the only complete representation of the sights, sounds and emotions of this once-in-a-lifetime event.
If you had the choice, would you look at your Grandpa's Bar Mitzvah photos or video?
Understanding Tradition
Once Upon a Time Video Productions has become the premier videographer for Bar/Bat Mitzvahs in Minneapolis/St. Paul for a variety of reasons. Besides our multi-award-winning coverage, camera work, editing and service we provide, we understand the traditions of this very symbolic event. Perry Cowen, President of Once Upon a Time Video Productions, is himself a Bar Mitzvah. His philosophy is to capture the true meaning of the day.
The focus of the Mitzvah video is on the traditions and emotions expressed on this very special day. Hours are spent on the editing process to make sure each detail is not overlooked ... the twinkle in Grandpa's eye as he recites the motzee over the challah ... Grandma hugging her grandchild as she gets to light her candle ... Mom and Dad as they toast their child's accomplishment ... and the total joy on the Bar/Bat Mitzvah's face as he/she is being raised to the ceiling on a chair during the Hora.
Your Mitzvah video will not only be the most honest record of this important event; but it will also be an entertaining story which your friends and family will want to watch repeatedly.
How We Work
Our job is to document your event ... not participate.
We don't create the action; we are simply there to document it. No events will be staged, no photo opportunities created.
We use professional 3-chip digital cameras that create phenomenal images.
The Bar/Bat Mitzvah and the family are the stars of the day!
No two Mitzvah celebrations are ever identical. We don't use any cookie-cutter approach to creating videos, and therefore no two videos ever look the same. We will get to know you, and discover what your desires are in terms of your video coverage.
Once Upon a Time Video Productions prides itself on the relationship it builds with its clients.
If our vision of Bar/Bat Mitzvah videography meets with your expectations, please e-mail us or call, to request more information about our packages and availability.
